Lead Tag Settings and Options

Lead tags are a great way to identify valuable customers at a glance. They allow a user to set criteria to mark a visitor as a potential lead based on the company they are associated with, or based on the pages that they visited.

Lead tags are displayed in the Visits page in the center of a listing Card. Visitors that qualify for a lead tag, will also have a modifier added to their lead score, further helping you to identify high-value leads.

There are two types of lead tags you can create, Page-Based Lead tags and Company Based lead Tags.

Page-Based Lead Tags

Page-based lead tags are used to identify visitors that have visited specific pages on your website.

You can create page based lead tags to identify visitors who have visited a specific URL, or one URL out of a list.

For example: You can create a list of URLs called “Interested Clients”, and add a list of the pages your most interested clients would normally visit (Pricing Page, Features page, etc.). Then, if a user vists any of the pages on that list, they will be tagged with the “Interested Clients” tag.

Company Based Lead Tags

Company based lead tags are used to identify visitors that are associated with a specific company.

You can also create company based lead tags to identify individuals who work for a company in a group of companies.

For example, you can make a group of companies called “Athletic Brands” and add many companies to that group (Nike, Adidas, etc). Then if the user belongs to one of the companies on the list, they will be tagged with the “Athletic Brands” tag.
